Mommy & Lydia Day

Every once and awhile I get to steal Lydia away and go spend some alone time with her. First we went to a scrapbooking store in St. Paul that I've been wanting to go to (I am so lucky that she loves going with me). Then we went to our favorite restaurant Noodles & Co for lunch (Lydia loves the Mac & Cheese). After lunch we went to Micheal's where we bought her a purse decorating kit. We came straight home so we could decorate it before Addi woke up. She said it's was the best day of her whole life. Even though I hear that a couple of times a week I really think she may have meant it. :)

Cowboy Hats

My mom came back from San Antonio with these cowboy hats for the girls. They both love them but Addi is especially fond of hers. She wears it everywhere- to the store, the doctor's office and to McDonalds. It's a staple of her wardrobe, as important as shoes. I can't complain, she looks adorable, she loves all the attention she gets and the whistle doesn't work! What else could a girl ask for. :)

Weekly Update

Well I can't seem to find time to blog lately so I am going to try to do a weekly update instead. We'll see how it goes!

The Mullet is Gone!!! Yep, we finally cut Addison's hair. Not one complaint out of her the whole time. I think she knew how bad it looked that she welcomed the change. Now she's sporting a "pixie" cut and is looking more adorable then ever.

Lydia informed me this week that I have been holding her back. I believe her exact words were "You never let me do anything myself. I can do things myself, I'm a big girl." It was something to that extent and it quickly made me realize that no matter how hard I try I can't keep her from growing up and I'll never be a perfect mother. :)
I have no clue how this headband has made it through 3 years and 3 states but this morning Lou came down the stairs with it on and I couldn't help but think about the last time I saw her wearing it at my brother-in laws wedding. Too cute.

I am one lucky lady!

Am I one lucky lady or what?! Johnathon surprised me with two days of treats for Mother's Day. On the first day I received the beautiful flowers and on the second the chocolate covered strawberries.

He is definitely a keeper!
