WooHoo!

I was really upset the other day when I found out that John was leaving for 6 weeks. What was I going to do in a new town all by myself? Then I caught a glimpse of Lydia's school calendar and she has a week off for spring break while he's gone. So I'm going home to see everyone in MN! Woohoo!!! It's going to be insane flying with 3 kids by myself but well worth it. :)

**I just wanted to add how RETARDED I think it is that airlines charge for your 1st checked bag!**

Virginia Beach

How I love the sun! After living in a beach town for 2 weeks I've decided I never, EVER want to see snow again. We are really loving it here. The weather is beautiful (did I say that already) there is so much more to do then in Fredericksburg and Lydia is loving her new school. It's really too bad that we are only here until June.

I don't have any pictures to post yet. We are still dealing with move-in craziness. I don't even have a key to our mailbox yet. I am sure the postman loves us right now. :) We are hopefully getting out and about this weekend so I'll take some them.

**I just have to laugh! Two days after I wrote this Virginia Beach is having a record breaking snow storm. :) I think the snow is following me!!**

Oh My Goodness

The world has stopped for the residents of Virginia! It has snowed! Due to the large amounts of the fluffy white stuff they have delayed opening the YMCA until 10 am and cancelled school. I thought after the record breaking snow we had in December they would be a little more comfortable with it but I guess not. The roads will be a scary place today...almost as bad as California drivers when it's raining.

How I miss my brave fellow Minnesotans!

**You can still see the sidewalk! And Grass! Seiously people!!**

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas. We missed being with our families but we had a good time with some close friends. We had a quick trip to Urgent Care on Christmas Eve. Addi knocked her head open on a corner in the living room that needed stitches. Luckily the Urgent Care by our house saw her even though they were closed when John showed up, it would of been a very long night in the ER if they hadn't. Besides that it was calm and relaxing.

The girls were VERY excited about all their gifts. I love the look in kid's eyes when they see their presents from Santa. It will be a sad day when they stop believing. John and I had to laugh though, Addi made a very worrisome comment about Santa. She was naming off a few things she didn't get that she would of liked to this year and said that she was going beat up Santa!!! I don't think she was serious but I'm not sure :) We're in trouble with that one.

Now that the holidays are over reality has come crashing down for the Rice house. We went to Virginia Beach this week and found a place to live. We move out on the 15th. We are actually really excited. We'll be 6 blocks from the beach and Lydia is in a really good school district. John will start his new school on Dam Neck on the 25th and will be done on the 11th of June, then who knows! :)

Treston's Fun Facts

He is a growing dude. 75th percentile for height and 10th for weight.

He can take about 5 steps and is crawling like a mad man (explains why he's so skinny)

He loves the vacuum. I have to wait until he is asleep to use it or he follows me and attacks it.

He has 8 teeth!! His favorite snack right now is Nutra-grain bars. We're still struggling with using a sippie cup but he'll get it soon.

He seems to get a bruise or bleed at least 3 times a week. Today he hit his mouth getting into a drawer in the kitchen. It bled for hours....boys are crazy.

Daddy gave him his first hair cut while Mommy fought back tears. John said he couldn't stand his "hippie hair". I'll post pictures soon.

He loves to wrestle with his Dad and sisters.

Apples make him throw up.

He is off his midnight bottle but isn't happy about it.

He is a happy, loving little guy. We are so lucky to have him.
